the kids are doing great. we have been busy growing our twin birds and they are doing awesome. they are still really little, but are progressing well. they are both making lots of really cute letter sounds. their favorites are baba, and mama. piper is now sitting up unsupported and eden i'm sure will follow in a few weeks. that seems to be the trend. they are both cutting their bottom two teeth and it is super cute. i am officially done nursing them. not that they ever nursed, but you know what i mean. they are strictly formula. i was able to last nine months, but it just became too much to do. they are such sweet babies. they are happy all the time, unless they are tired, or hungry. that is seriously the only time they cry. last weigh in by me was p 13 lbs, e 12.5 lbs. e is slowly catching up.
sawyer is busy busy busy. he celebrated his 3rd birthday in utah. he has had the hardest time adjusting to life with 6 people. he wants any and all of my attention. i give him what i can, but it never seems to be enough. he is obsessed with all things Thomas, Spiderman, and airplanes. he is talking all the time and is really getting good at communicating. we are working on potty training, or rather he is potty training himself. he seems to be poop trained. we will work on number one when syd goes back to school. he is our fluffy boy, and if you've seen his hair you know what i'm talking about.
sydney is about to turn 6. she has turned in to sasserella. we don't really get along very well all the time. she likes to act like she's 16. she is going to start first grade on monday. i'm having a hard time. she will be gone from 8-3:20 every day, and i'm not thrilled. i feel like we won't get to spend time together. i guess we will figure it out. she loves anything girly. she is loving makeup, nail polish, and dressing up. she dresses up in all of my old dance costumes and parades around the house all day long. she is the queen of pretending. seriously. i rarely have a real conversation with her. she is constantly setting up scenarios for us to play. she's a cute little thing. she's lost one tooth and has another loose one on the way out.
nick and i have been busy being mom and dad. sometimes i feel like i'm playing house and that i will go home to my mom's and this will all be just one big game, but alas it's not the case. we have loved adjusting to our new big family. we get lots of comments (most of which are not very nice), but we wouldn't trade our four kids for anything. nick is loving work still, and i am loving that i don't have to go to work. i love being the mom. i like my own schedule and pretty much doing whatever we fancy. we have survived this summer, and are really excited for the fall to arrive. nick and i will be going on a childless vacation in october to NY! i'm so flipping excited. that's about all that is going on in our lives. here are a few pictures from this summer. thanks to kara for taking them.

They are beautiful! Cute, cute kids! You look fantastic! I tell Paul sometimes that I can't believe we're married with four kids. Sometimes I imagine this as one big dream and I'll wake up as a sixteen year old at Cedar High again! Life...!
I love your pictures you have such a cute family!
Laurel, your family is so adorable and who are these dummies saying rude things? I will slap them. You guys all look so great and so happy. Thanks for letting us know you are still alive ;)
