Private

Okay I know I said I was going to do this like 2 years ago, but I really am this time.  I'm going private.  Just leave your email if you want an invite.

8 months old

Sawyer will be 8 months old tomorrow, and I am shocked and saddened by how quickly he is growing up.  However, I have really enjoyed watching him grow and learn.  He is so so different than Sydney.  It is night and day with these two.  Sawyer can sit and play with one toy for hours.  Usually he just likes to sit and watch Sydney run around.  Sydney moves from toy to toy to toy in 20 seconds.  It is so fun.  Sawyer is getting so big.  Here are some things he likes and some things he doesn't like.
He likes any food I give him.  He'll eat anything, whick explains the thunder thighs and chubby cheeks.
He like sitting in the bumbo behind the kitchen sink while I do dishes or clean up the kitchen.
He LOVES his jumperoo.  He catches some serious air in this thing.  Inches of air under his feet.
He likes his mommy, daddy and Sydney.  (Mommy the most though :))
He loves the bath tub and loves to splash everywhere.  Although he would rather lay down in the tub than sit up like a big boy.
He likes to ride in the stroller.
He likes to swing at the park.
He doesn't like when mommy leaves the room.
He doesn't like having gas.
He doesn't like being alone.
He doesn't like anything with an electric motor. IE hand mixer, disposal, etc...
He doesn't like being over loved by Sydney, although he'll tolerate her love for a very long time.
Sawyer was not sleeping through the night very well, so I heard that I should take away his pacifier.  I tried to get him to nap one day without it, and that habit was broken.  He's doing a little better.  Some days I miss the paci, but I'm glad we don't have to wean when he's older.  He likes his fist much better anyway.  He is trying to cut his two bottom teeth, and has been for about 4 months.  He isn't crawling yet, and isn't even close, so I should be happy about that.  He's content being carried everywhere (yay for mom, not!)  He has the most pleasant disposition and is such a nice baby.  He loves other babies and will yell at them to get their attention.  He likes fans, and will yell at them as well.  He likes to yell.  Both my kids do, which makes for a very loud house.  You can imagine the headache I have by the end of most days.  We love having Sawyer in our family.  We love his mellow mood and sweetness.  He really is so so sweet.  I wish I could freeze time, because I don't want him to get too big too fast.  It's all going by so quickly.

Okay Mother

Sydney has been saying some funny things lately, and some not so funny things.  Here they are.

While eating ice cream her spoonful fell out onto her leg and she looks up at me with a discouraged look and says, "holy crap!"  That was a little disheartening to hear my three year old say that.  Unfortunately it is one of my go to sayings.

She asked Nick if he had something and he told her he didn't, so she looks at him and shrugs her shoulders and says, "WHATEVER!"  Again another learned from yours truly.

Sydney has been spending a lot of time in time out because she chooses to disobey everything I ask her to do.  So she got off of the chair and came to me and I explained to her that she needs to obey me, and she looks at me and said, "Okay mother."

She is so funny.  She is still calling Nick, Nick.  She refuses to call him daddy.

Cheetos and Festive Girl

Here are the February happenings.  Sydney had a Valentine's Day party and wanted to wear the shirt that grandma sent her.  She looks pretty festive.  Sawyer has discovered a new favorite.  CHEETO'S.  He loves them.

Love love love this girl

Sydney makes me laugh so hard.  She also makes me cry a lot.  She's the sweetest, meanest cutest thing ever.  Her new thing is singing the songs on the Children's Songbook cd's.  She started singing "I hope they call me on a mission" like this, "I want to be a missionary.  To sleep and creep and smoke like missionaries do."  Her new favorite word is creepy.  She is constantly telling me to stop looking at her because I'm creepy.  She's a hoot.  Just thought I would throw a little love to my bean.
