37 week check up

So I went for my 37 week check up today. I walked in took the typical urine test, got my blood pressure taken. It was a little elevated and there were traces of protein in my urine. So my doctor came in checked me and compared me to fort knox, because nothing is happening. She then said she wanted to get my blood pressure done again. They took it again and it was still elevated, so my doctor ordered a blood test and another urine sample. My doctor wanted to check for toxemia and preeclampsia, so I will most likely find out the results tomorrow. If I have either she is going to induce me sooner than 39 weeks. Either way she says she will induce me at 39 weeks, because I want to and I had Sydney really fast after I started labor. I am anxious and excited and ready to have him and my mom here. Sydney is getting so excited. I hope she does okay with him. I'll keep you posted. Sorry if this post doesn't make sense, because I am on the phone while I type this.

Sydney Finally Gets a Bike!!

We have been working on getting Sydney to sleep in her own bed all night long, and promised to buy her a bike if she would sleep in her bed a certain number of nights in a row. She finally met the quota, so we got her a bike. She absolutely loves it. She has been on it twice and already is so good at riding it. She steers so well, and it is so cute to watch her ride. These pictures are of the first day that she rode. Someday, if we ever learn how to post video we will show you that. Until then still pics will have to do. Also some more pictures of her posing for the camera. She is turning into such a big girl. I am exctied to see how she acts when this little boy gets here. She'll be so cute and helpful I'm sure. We are 36 weeks now and I go back to the doctor on Tuesday. We went this last week and she said that there is no progress yet, so we'll see what this week holds. She said if I make it to 37 she'll let me be induced anytime after that. Hopefully my mom will make it to see him born. If he's anything like Sydney he'll stay put. I'm feeling more and more miserable, but that is to be expected I suppose. Nick has been a huge help in getting things ready. Today for my birthday he bought me some super cute picture frames to decorate the kid's room with. I'm excited to put some pictures in them. He also got me some new rubber scrapers, some really nice facial cleanser and a zit pen. I'm so excited to use them.

Little Model and Big Mama

So I have been told by my mom every day this week that I need to post some pictures of Sydney. She is getting so tall, and acting so much older. She says so many funny things and loves to have her picture taken so that she can pose. When she answers yes to something that she has done instead of saying, "yes" she says, "I did." That doesn't seem funny, but it is. For example when Nick got home from work on Friday and saw that the dvd player was broken he asks Sydney, "Did you break the dvd player?" Sydney answers, "I did." It's funny to me. One of her favorite things to say is "probably...and then the answer to the question." She is having fun telling everyone that we may be naming our baby Hudson Dean or Sawyer Dean, it's up for debate and vote. It's been Hudson for so long, but I'm also loving Sawyer. So any opinion is welcome. Sydney loves to pose, read books, swim, play with friends, pretend, and help in the kitchen. She is a little Betty Crocker. As for the big mama. I had friends say, "you need to post some preggo pictures." I haven't posted any since I was 24 weeks and here I am at 35. Wow how time has gone by. I'm getting super exctied to have this little guy get here. In the past two weeks I have had two showers and received a lot of great stuff. Most of the big stuff we already have because of Sydney, but I forgot how much little "stuff" you have to have when a baby comes. We are getting excited for Granny to come visit, a little vacation shortly after the baby comes, a visit from Grandma, and then a vacation home to Utah where we will be blessing the baby in Cedar. Our summer is pretty much full, and the time will fly. We are still having pleasant enough weather, but the heat is coming. I go to the doctor on Tuesday and she will check me then to see what, if any progression has occured. Hopefully we will have some good news. I want him here in 4 weeks. Nick is doing well at work and is seeing a lot of traffic. It's still crazy to me that he is controlling planes on his own now. He's doing a great job and is getting ready to get some more certifications in the near future. Only 9 more until he is completely done training. Seems like a lot. We are also hoping for some good news this next week because the FAA and the controller union have gone back to negotiations for a new contract, and we know it's only going to get better. How much better? We don't know but we are really excited to see. Enough of the boring chatter here are the pictures.
