Summer Lovin'

So these pictures are a couple of weeks old, but so cute. We have been having off and on beautiful weather. The off has been major thunderstorms and tornados left and right. Thankfully we haven't had any in Kingwood. The weather here is not my favorite, but for the next few weeks we will hopefully be enjoying 80 degree weather. Today was one of those days. We went and played at the park for two hours. Well Nick and Sydney played, I napped by the pool. It was heaven. Anyway, these pictures are of a day two weeks ago when the weather was fabulous and Sydney was cute in her polka dot suit. She is such a little model, and her favorite pose is putting her hands on her hips and tilting her head to the side. She is so funny. Anyway, I hope you're all jealous of us for the time being because come May I'll be wishing we could be out of the summer heat.

This is a picture of Sydney running the length of our living room and jumping as high as she could. She did this for at least a half hour. So funny. She still does it everyday. Our neighbors below us just love us. We get a death stare from them everytime they see us. We've only had one complaint. They gave up when the apartment told them they couldn't complain about a two year old. Gotta love it.

Kemah and 24 weeks

So we have been on Spring Break here in Houston this week. We have been having a fun time this week and yesterday we went to Kemah Boardwalk. It's a boardwalk by the bay and it's kind of dumb. It's the only amusement park in Houston, and it's quite the place. Anyway we spent the day there and Sydney loved it. She got to go on a few rides and it was so fun watching her ride the rides. She would wave and yell, "look at me mommy!" It was so cute. Also here is a picture of me at 24 weeks. This may quite possibly be the last picture you see of me pregnant. I am so fat and ugly. I am ready to be back to myself. I know that is selfish, but seriously I am really struggling with this pregnancy and how I look. My face has gotten so fat. I never thought that would happen. I have a skinny face. Well here you go.

We're EVICTED!!!

Nick gets home from work yesterday and asks, "Do you want the good news or the bad news first?" I hate that question more than anything in the world. So I say my usual, "The bad." He starts reading me a letter from our apartment management stating, "Due to lack of payment for the month of March you are hereby evicted and to be out of your apartment no later than on or before midnight of the 7th day of March." I'm like "WHAT???" So I am all fired up because to help the apartment out we signed a seven month lease because our lease would have been up in August and they have a bunch of people moving out. So we agreed to sign a seven month lease if they would give a month of free rent. Well our free month was to be March. It's in our file, on our new contract, yada yada yada. So I call quite fired up ready to tell them they are so stupid and that we want another month of free rent because they have offended me that much. Well I ended up being much more nice than that, but I will be calling the manager to complain because we have had so many problems with them. I hate apartment living. Funny story huh? By the way there was no good news. What a cruel joke Nick.

Where's Sydney

When I got home from work last night at 9:15, Nick and Sydney were sitting on the couch cuddling. I thought, "oh cute, and yes we get to get to bed earlier." Such was not the case. I was on the phone telling my mom about our "eviction", but that's another funny story, and Nick lays this one on me, "get off the phone I have to say sorry for something." Me being the alarmist that I am, freak out get off the phone, and say "what did you do?!?" He's like, "nothing you freak. Why do you always think that I've done something or that something bad has happened when I have to say sorry for something?" So he then proceeds to tell me that while he was otherwise occupied, Sydney got really quiet. Nick then yells, "Sydney, what are you doing?" She says, "SHH daddy I'm sleeping." So nick a few minutes later finishes what he is doing and heads out to look for quiet Sydney. He searches the whole apartment. He yells her name and this is where he finds her. Needless to say, I didn't get to bed until 12:30. Sydney's nap was from 7:30-8:30, Nick thought she was gone for the night, but she woke up saying, "I lost my mommy and I need her." So when I got home from work we had to get her back to sleep. Not an easy task, but getting easier because she has a new full size bed that I can sleep on.
