The first week

Well we have been here a week, it's been so warm, and a lot of fun so far. Some new things have occurred since my last post. Sydney has learned a few new words, like, yellow, hello, please, thank you, I love you, and so on. She likes to walk around the house holding the phone and pretend that she is talking on it. It is the most hilarious thing I've seen in a while. She is learning to throw some major fits, and it is quite a difficult thinf for me to handle because I don't quite know how to discipline her yet. Time out doesn't work, because she thinks it's play time. She is finally sleeping through the night in her own bed, which if you have spent the last three months with us you know that is a huge accomplishment. I got a job teaching dance two nights a week, and I am super excited about it. It's a local dance studio that consists of over 900 dancers. I know I couldn't believe it when I founds that out. It's huge!!! Anyway, I start Wednesday and I think it will be a good thing for me. Nick took a test Friday, has another one this coming Friday and has another one the next Friday. He is hitting the books and trying to study hard, but with a family like ours that gets really difficult at times. He's been really cranky, but I think that is to be expected. He also isn't use to having us around since he has been alone for three months. I think it will take a while to get use to having us back. But believe me it's going to happen! Anyway, until next week good luck and love to you all

Oh, I just love your updates:) Sydney does sound adorable on the phone... I'll have to give her a call. hehe. I can't wait to hear how the dance class goes. What are you teaching? What age? Aren't you totally excited??? I bet the pirouettes and kicks in the living room will increase now:) hehe.... So is the weather humid at all? How do you like your apartment? Are you just loving being by the Fabrizio's:)? We miss you guys. Tell Nick I'll kick his butt if he is too cranky!

Laurel, that is so awesome about the dance teaching. I wish we could have hung out more before you left. Tell Nick not to forget about Tuscany.

Laurel, I don't know if you remember me (Audrey Petersen). I was your visiting teacher in Grand Forks right before you guys moved. Anywho, we are in Texas also, we moved here around the same time you did. We live in Fort Worth. So Nick did ATC? Lee went into Flight Service with Lockheed Martin. He really loves it. Sydney is getting so big. She was only a couple of months old, I think, when I saw her last. It sounds like you guys are adjusting well. Our blog is lapetersenfamilie.blogspot.com. Keep in touch.
