Sawyer's Pathetic Birthday Party

I feel really bad for my son.  For Sydney's first birthday we went all out.  We had a huge party with all of our families and she got spoiled rotten.  Poor Sawyer turned one and it was just another day.  We didn't do anything for him.  In fact I didn't get him a present until the end of July and it was a dorky little helicopter that plays music.  Poor kid.  A few weeks after his birthday we had Ben and Allison, and the Fabrizio's over for dinner, and I threw together a cake and we slapped a candle on it and sang.  Sad excuse for a birthday.  Oh well, he didn't care.

Sawyer also recently started walking.  He holds both hands up high above his head, and he looks like a floating head.  I think he looks like E.T. walking, but that's just me.  He's cute.

Sydney is just a goofy almost four year old.  Her birthday is the end of this month and we will be doing a Wizard of Oz party.  She's obsessed with that movie.  She is getting a cheerleading costume from Grandma for her birthday and I was taking her measuremetns, and she kept saying, "Are you doing this so I can go to kindergarten in five weeks?"  She thinks she belongs in kindergarten.
Sydney has Sawyer's 6-12 month shorts on over her shorts, buttoned.  She's a skinny little bean.

Happy Birthday Sawyer!!! We love you. Also, the dorky helicopter that plays music is Carter's favorite toy!

Even though everyone thinks they won't do it when they are parents it just kind of happens. They first child gets the great 1st birthday party, the most pictures and more one on one attention. Happy Birthday Sawyer and Happy Birthday Sydney. I love both of you very much.

Happy B-day Sawyer. I have been so busy getting ready for the expo that I haven't checked blogs for like a month. So sad how busy life gets. My kids also love the dorky helicopter so don't bash it too bad. We love you and the kids.

Sawyer and Sydney look so cute. It's OK, for Eva's 2nd bday we never even did anything. We didn't even wrap her only present from us--we just handed her a shirt (AWESOME present for a 2-year old), and asked her to try it on. He and Sydney look like such happy little tykes.
