Smarty Pants

We have been in Denton visiting my Aunt Debbie and her husband Dale this Easter weekend and have been having a blast.  Sydney has pulled some funny things out this weekend.  Here they are.  I will post pictures from the weekend when I get home tomorrow, but this will have to do.

Sydney was riding in the car with Dale and Aunt Debra (how Sydney addresses her) to go get Dale's granddaughter Ellen who is also three.  They were having a little conversation and Sydney says, "Aunt Debra, do you know who my aunt is?"  Aunt Debbie says, "Holly, April, and Heather."  Sydney says, "Yes and Abby."  Aunt Debbie, "Do you know who my sister is?"  Sydney, "Who?"  Aunt Debbie, "Your granny."  Sydney kind of thinks about it for a minute and drops it.  When Ellen's dad brought her out to the car Sydney asks him, "Do you know who my mom's aunt's sister is?"  He says, "Who?"  Sydney says, "My mom's mom."  Aunt Debbie had to think about it for a minute to make sure she was right.  And what do you know she is. 

Today we went to Dealy Plaza to the Six Story Book Depository where President Kennedy was assasinated and we took a tour of the museum.  Pretty cool by the way.  On our drive home Sydney yells up to Nick who is driving and says, "Dad thanks for taking us to see Jackie and John." 

It was so funny.  We never told her that his name was John and hers Jackie, but she heard us talking about it and picked up on it.  She is a smart little creature.  If none of this makes sense it is because she is smarter than all of you.
